Nightclub Two Step Dance Lessons Houston
A DESCRIPTION: Since the beginning days of Nightclub Two Step, the dance has evolved substantially into the dance that it is today. We teach the contemporary style of Nightclub as is danced competitively in the UCWDC. To suit modern music rhythms, the Nightclub is danced as a Slow-Quick-Quick and begins by moving to the side. There are no rock steps present in Nightclub. Instead, the feet close together on the first quick, and cross for the second quick. Nightclub is a stationary smooth dance with linear and geometric patterns performed with draping sway and counter sway, shaping actions, emphasizing developed slows.
NOTE: There are esentially two versions of Nightclub Two Step. The NC2 was initially developed by Buddy Schwimmer in the mid-1960s. The dance is also known as two step and was one of the most popular forms of contemporary social dance as a Disco Couples Dance in 1978. It is frequently danced to mid-tempo ballads in 4/4 time.
