What is a private dance lesson?

A private lesson consists of a session in which one dance instructor works with one student or one couple. During a private dance lesson, you'll learn the finer points of dancing with a partner. Private lessons are by appointment only and may be scheduled Monday - Saturday.

What is a group dance lesson?

A group lesson consists of several students learning to dance from one instructor. Primarily working on basic steps and technique, group classes correspond to the level of dancing you are currently working on.

What types of dance do you teach?

Our goal is to prepare you to dance with confidence in any social situation. Our country dance curriculum consists of 7 dances that will allow you to dance anywhere, with anyone, any time there is country music! The most common country dances that we teach are Texas Two Step, Waltz, West Coast Swing, Polka, Cha-Cha, Nightclub Two Step, and East Coast Swing; however, Anthony is Gold Certified in all of the ballroom and Latin dances as well.

How should I dress for my country dance lesson?

Students should wear something comfortable that won't inhibit movement. Of course, comfortable shoes are a must! We suggest wearing a pair of leather-soled shoes for maximum ease and comfort until dance shoes are purchased.

How difficult is it to learn to country western dance?

It's actually easy to learn to dance. Learning the various dances and a repertoire of steps takes time, but it’s easy and fun. A steady approach with periodic practice will produce visible results in a short period.

Do I need a dance partner?

We teach both singles and couples! If you come in as one of our single students, during private lessons, your instructor will be your partner. Our group dance lessons and practice sessions will provide plenty of opportunity to meet other students with the same interests and goals.
